The story behind the name

In 1981 our family had its first house on the Costa Blanca, in the Ambolo urbanisation in Xàbia, close to Cap de la Nau and high above the small cove of Cala Ambolo.

The cove and the urbanisation take their name from the watchtower built on those cliffs in the sixteenth century. From the tower, lookouts kept an eye on the sea so the people of Xàbia could get on with their work. It wasn't alone: it belonged to a chain of watchtowers along the coast that warned one another with signals.

What that has to do with IT

That's exactly what Ambolo IT wants to be for your business. We keep watch over your systems so you can focus on your work. We'd rather see problems coming than fix them afterwards.

And just like those towers, everything works together: your email, network, storage and website form one whole, with one point of contact.

Gabor Weil

Founder of Ambolo IT

Gabor built and ran his own IT companies until 2011, with several branches and around thirty staff. He then spent eight years as IT and Operations Manager at NOVI University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, where he was responsible for IT, purchasing, contracts and partners. He lives in Putten and is regularly on the Costa Blanca, where his family has been coming since 1981. He speaks the language of business owners: no jargon, just clear agreements.
